The vision that informs Eight Rivers Council for the Sacred Arts is this:
In the ancient land of India there were seven sacred rivers.
In our most ancient mother tongue-Sanskrit- a meeting of rivers is called "sanghah" meaning a "community". The eight river, then is the River of Community, joining all the others together, like spokes on a great wheel.
Eight Rivers Council for the Sacred Arts is a non-profit community based organization dedicated to fostering the interface of the spiritual, creative, healing and environmental arts. We view all of these as sacred, as endeavors in which spiritual consciousness is wedded to the creative process; we also believe then to be necessarily interdependent today. To this end, we host community festivals, art exhibitions, interfaith ceremonies and workshops in a wide variety of spiritual traditions, and in personal, community and environmental healing. Eight Rivers is founded on the perspective that growth and transformation depend on recognizing and celebrating our interconnection with each other and with all living things. We are committed to bringing this vision into being and proud to sponsor the Labyrinth Ladies in this endeavor.
THE LABYRINTH LADIES MISSION STATEMENT
THE LABYRINTH LADIES are dedicated to bringing the healing power of the labyrinth to awareness in our community and to introduce this powerful tool as a vehicle for transformation. We seek to bring about this gentle transformation of awareness by introducing the labyrinth to schools, hospitals, prisons, businesses and churches. We believe that the labyrinth can foster non-violent solutions to issues, inspire creativity and bring about clarity and focus.

Your facilitators, Christine McCullough,MA and
Victoria Williams, MA, The Labyrinth Ladies, have over 25 years of seminar teaching experience in the history, myth, construction and use of the Labyrinth and other subjects throughout the East Coast and Great Britain.
Both women are ceremonialists, mythologists, artists and authors who have developed applications for the use of the Labyrinth in their counseling practices. They integrate expressive arts, myth, meditation, movement and sound healing to offer clients a unique and profound healing experience. The Labyrinth Ladies are professional members of the NE Labyrinth Guild.
