Our Labyrinth Training for Healers and Others will be held this year in beautiful Little Compton, RI at the Renaissance Barn. Nestled amongst the shady woods and peaceful countryside,we believe this to be a retreat you will not want to miss!

Our training offers you the skills to help you to conduct guided labyrinth walks for your group, congregation, class or clients. This workshop offers information not found in the certificate training offered by Reverend Lauren Artress, and is an adjunct to that training to help you more fully understand the labyrinth experience. We highly recommend you continue your Labyrinth experience by taking the Labyrinth Facilitator Training offered by Veriditas; www.veriditas.org

OUR WORKSHOP

Friday Oct. 1: 6 pm begins our programming with a meet and greet and light refreshments, followed by an introduction to the history and mystery of the Labyrinth form.

Saturday, Oct. 2: 9 am-12 noon: Learn the basics of creating ceremony using the Labyrinth as a template, discuss its uses for the elderly, disabled, 12 step programs,weddings, healing and other applications. Learn how to enhance your experience with music and art. Begin making your own personal prayer labyrinth.

12noon to 3 pm: Take some personal time to unwind, get a relaxing massage or Reiki treatment, take a walk by the sea,or have lunch and visit some of the quaint shops in nearby Tiverton or Little Compton.

3pm to 6 pm: Continue your instruction on using the labyrinth, Learn how to construct a seven circuit labyrinth on any site, Complete your personal prayer labyrinth. Customize your learning experience by bringing your questions to our discussions.

6 pm to 8 pm Enjoy your dinner at one of the area restaurants

8 pm Join us for a candlelight outdoor labyrinth walk at The Renaissance Barn (weather permitting) or we may watch an inspirational and informative video by Lauren Artress, the "Mother " of the Labyrinth movement in America.

Sunday 11 am to 5 pm: Today we will concentrate on the history and use of the Chatres Labyrinth culminating in a walk using that matrix. A light lunch will be provided.

Certificates of completion will be awarded at the end of our session. Keep checking back, a more detailed syllabus will be provided, including a list of area restaurants and lodgings and pictures of The Renaissance Barn.

Location: The Renaissance Barn is located on 64 Long Highway, Little Compton, Rhode Island 02837  401-635-9915  The Renaissance Barn hosts spiritual programs that uplift the soul and may also be rented as a personal meditative seclusion retreat for those seeking peace of mind for any reason. The fee is $75 per night with a 2 night minimum. Amenities include a comfortable Murphy bed, full kitchen, private bath, gas fireplace, air conditioning and more!

Lodging: Enjoy The Tiverton/Little Compton area of Rhode Island in the Fall! The weather will most likely still be glorious so you can enjoy meditative walks on our beautiful beaches, eat in delightful little cafes, enjoy a glass of wine in nearby Sakonnet Vineyard and shop for unique handcrafted items in quaint, rustic boutiques. Newport is just 40 minutes away over the Sakonnet Bridge, and there is so much to enjoy.
